Fragen & Antworten zu den Freiwilligendiensten

Das weltwärts-Programm bei AFS ist ein elfmonatiger Freiwilligendienst, der sich mit entwicklungspolitischen Themen beschäftigt. Deshalb ist damit nur ein Aufenthalt in den sogenannten Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländern möglich. Du solltest zudem ein Interesse an Entwicklungspolitik mitbringen. Gefördert wird das Programm zu 75 % von Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung.

Der Internationale Jugendfreiwilligendienst (IJFD) steht auch für europäische Länder offen. Er dauert bei AFS ebenfalls 11 Monate und wird zu ca. 40 % vom Bundesministerium für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend bezuschusst.

Das Community Service Programm (CSP) ist flexibler in der Dauer des Freiwilligendienstes. Hier kannst du für ein Trimester (3 Monate), Semester (5-6 Monate) oder Jahr (11 Monate) ins Ausland gehen. Bezüglich der Länderwahl stehen dir alle von AFS angebotenen Länder offen. Da das Community Service Programm nicht staatlich gefördert wird, musst du alle Kosten selbst tragen.
